1. Assignation

Requirements:

    • Bachelor students: In order to register the TFG, students must have a maximum of 36 ECTS remaining to complete the studies, excluding the 24 ECTS of the TFG (48 ECTS for double Bachelor's degrees), that is to say that, only students who have 60 or less ECTS remaining to finish their Bachelor’s degree can request the assignment of a TFG.
    • Double Bachelor's degrees students:

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering/Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Systems - Network Engineering, only students who have 84 or less ECTS remaining to finish their studies can request the assignment of a TFG.

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Systems / Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, only students who have 78 or less ECTS remaining to finish their studies can request the assignment of a TFG.

The TFG/TFM can be done individually or in groups of two students.

Students can request the assignment of a TFG/TFM from one semester until 2 days before they ordinary enrolment period.

Assignments of TFG/TFM formalized between the 1st of July and the 31st of December should be registered through the Internet during the ordinary enrolment period in February. Otherwise the registration will expire before 1st of March. and the TFG/TFM can be assigned to another student (or the same one with specific approval of the advisor).

Assignments of TFG/TFM formalized between the 1st of January and the 30th of June should be registered through the Internet during the ordinary enrolment period in September. Otherwise the registration will expire before 1st of October. and the TFG/TFM can be assigned to another student (or the same one with specific approval of the advisor).

2. Registration

  • The maximum period between inscription and the registration of the TFG/TFM is a semester.
  • The TFG/TFM registration is done via the Internet using the ordinary periods of enrolment (February and September), so the proposed inscription should be validated at least two days before the scheduled date of registration. If the TFG is associated with an internship, the enrolment may be perform within a different period.
  • The registration of the TFG/TFM follows this calendar(open in new window). If the student does not pass the TFG/TFM within this period, the TFG/TFM must be re-enrolled. The registration includes a first (ordinary) call for defending the TF/TFM; however, if the student needs an extension, the TFG/TFM can be defended within a second call period paying only the administrative services fee ( 90-95 € approximately for the management of the academic record, learning support and student insurance if needed),  . The second call procedure will be automatically launched when a student deposits her or his dissertation after the first (regular) term and within the second (additional) one. The student will get an e-mail communication and will be able to check the new enrollment at "e-secretaria".
  • If the student does not deposit her or his dissertation before the end of the second (additional) period, the qualification awarded will be "ABSENT (NO PRESENTAT)", and it will be necessary to ask to begin again the inscription and enrollment processes with the corresponding economic penalty for a failed course.

3. Thesis deposit

  • Once enrolled, the student must deposit and defend the TFG/TFM within the deadline described in the calendar(open in new window).
  • The students will store the TFG/TFM and submit other additional data through SIA (TFG-Estudiants)(open in new window).
  • A committee will evaluate the TFG/TFM and they can suggest corrections if needed. In this case, the student will have to deposit a final reviewed document.

4. Evaluation

  • After the thesis defence, the secretary of the committee must fill in the evaluation report of the TFG/TFM together with the justification of the proposal for the Honours Mention if applicable. When the work has been carried out by teams there must be one report for each student. All these documents must be signed by all the committee members and delivered to the Oficina Oberta .
  • You can check at this link the list of students that have been awarded the Honours Mention.
  • Once the president of the committee has delivered the signed reports to the Oficina Oberta, if the student has all the corresponding credits passed and has properly accredited the third language competence, he or she will be able to complete the official diploma request procedure as soon as the following information is shown at the "e-secretaria" web site:
